Gaming where you never suspect it to work

Publishing sites like magazines or news sites get their traffic on all kinds of content. There are articles, galleries, videos and tool integrations. However there is one thing they offer that is a guaranteed click driver.

Casual games.

I’m sure none of you is aware of magazine or news sites as a gaming hideout. It’s not the typical place to go to to play a game.

There are many other place on the web to go gaming. Think Facebook for example.

Still there seems to be  a share of content site visitors willing to play a game when they stumble upon it.

On one of our smaller sites I found that a 5 digit figure of visitors is playing a game of solitaire every single day.

Solitaire!

We’re not talking about quality games here. Nothing innovative. Sometimes not even pretty to look at.

I can imagine how much money can be made when you focus on gaming when there is such an impact already with solitaire.

    You are surprising me that you were not knowing this. :-)

    Of course, I know about which site you are talking… but gaming is everywhere on ‘content’ driven sites.
