Every architecture needs to consider statics

We all know how important architectures are for a long living software design. Only a good and solid architecture can provide sustainability.

But you also need to care about statics.

In the real world architects plan houses and such. But before their plan get realized a structural engineer will check the statics of the plan. The same process is necessary for IT architectures.

An architecture can only be as good as its known requirements. The equivalent of a structural engineer would be someone who knows the forces that work at the architecture, who knows the business goals and the processes the architecture needs to support.

Only by checking these processes and considering that some processes are more frequent and time or security critical as others you can identify weak spots in your architecture before your build it and it eventually breaks.
