Publishing sites like magazines or news sites get their traffic on all kinds of content. There are articles, galleries, videos and tool integrations. However there is one thing they offer that is a guaranteed click driver.
Not long ago I thought Adobes Flash would probably die. Microsoft took a small piece of the cake with Silverlight while Apple banned Flash from the iPad altogether. Even Adobe themselves jumped the HTML5 train with Adobe Edge. Flash became uncool and nothing it seemed could be done with it that couldn’t be done with HTML5.
Now I guess I have to change my mind.
I know many users on Google+ who don’t like the idea of games entering the stream. But even to those it should be obvious that social gaming is a very lucrative market indeed. Games on Facebook are making millions.
No wonder Google want a piece of the pie and there is a good chance to be successful.
